Product Warranty Policy & Limited Warranty Terms

ECR Performance LLC is committed to providing quality automotive performance products. This policy establishes the warranty coverage, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and procedures applicable to products purchased from ECR Performance.

Please review these terms carefully before purchasing, installing, or using our products.

1. Fuel Injector Limited Warranty

ECR Performance provides the following limited warranty coverage for qualifying fuel injectors purchased directly from our company.

Warranty Coverage Periods

Reconditioned / Used Fuel Injectors	4 months
Remanufactured Fuel Injectors	30 days

All warranty periods begin on the original date of purchase, not the installation date or the date the product is first used.

Warranty Eligibility Conditions

Coverage applies to the original purchaser only and is nontransferable.
Proof of purchase is required.
Products must have been purchased directly from ECR Performance.
Products purchased through third-party dealers must be submitted to the original dealer for warranty assistance, unless otherwise expressly authorized by ECR Performance.
Warranty claims must be initiated within the applicable warranty period.

What the Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers qualifying defects in materials or workmanship affecting the electrical or mechanical operation of fuel injectors when used within their specified operating parameters.

Covered defects may include:

Internal electrical failures attributable to manufacturing defects.
Mechanical failures resulting from defective internal components.
Manufacturing-related malfunctions affecting injector operation.

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and testing by ECR Performance to determine whether the reported condition is covered.

Warranty Resolution

When a covered defect is confirmed, ECR Performance will provide a remedy consistent with this limited warranty and applicable law, which may include repair, replacement with an equivalent product, or refund.

Replacement products do not automatically restart the original warranty period. Unless otherwise required by law, the remaining original warranty period applies.

2. Fuel Injector Warranty Exclusions

The following conditions are excluded from warranty coverage when they cause or contribute to the reported failure.

A. Physical Damage and Improper Handling

Fire or excessive heat damage.
Bent, cracked, broken, or otherwise damaged injector bodies.
Missing or damaged injector components.
Tool marks or damage caused by improper installation or removal.
Broken, cracked, melted, or missing electrical connectors.
Broken, bent, or missing injector pintles.
Damage resulting from improper storage, handling, or transportation.
Unauthorized modifications or alterations that cause or contribute to product failure.

B. Fuel Compatibility and Contamination

Warranty coverage excludes failures or damage caused by:

Fuels incompatible with the injector's specified application.
Fuel contamination, debris, moisture, or foreign substances.
Corrosion caused by improper fuel storage or exposure.
Inadequate fuel filtration.
Chemical deterioration caused by incompatible fuels or additives.

E85, Ethanol, and Alcohol-Based Fuels

Not all fuel injectors are compatible with E85, high-ethanol-content fuels, methanol, or other alcohol-based fuels.

Customers should verify the fuel compatibility specified for the injector before purchase and installation. Contact ECR Performance if compatibility is unclear.

Using E85 or another alcohol-based fuel does not automatically invalidate warranty coverage. However, damage resulting from the use of an incompatible fuel, improper fuel-system maintenance, or unsuitable storage conditions is excluded.

Extended Storage with E85 or Alcohol-Based Fuels

Fuel injectors exposed to E85 or other alcohol-based fuels may experience corrosion, deposits, or internal deterioration when stored improperly or left unused for extended periods.

Damage attributable to prolonged fuel exposure, contamination, corrosion, or improper storage is not covered.

Customers are responsible for following appropriate fuel-system maintenance and storage procedures.

C. Oxygenated Racing Fuels

Damage caused by incompatible oxygenated racing fuels, including but not limited to the following, is excluded:

VP Racing Q16
VP Racing 260 GT
VP Racing EXO2 107
MTBE-containing fuels
Other chemically aggressive or incompatible racing fuel formulations

Use of these fuels does not automatically void coverage for unrelated manufacturing defects.

D. Normal Wear and Maintenance

Warranty coverage does not include:

Normal deterioration resulting from use.
Routine injector cleaning and servicing.
Deposits or restrictions caused by fuel contamination.
Maintenance-related flow imbalances.
Damage caused by neglected fuel-system maintenance.
Performance deterioration unrelated to a manufacturing defect.

Fuel injectors are precision components that require proper fuel quality, filtration, and maintenance.

E. Installation, Fitment, and Tuning

Warranty coverage does not extend to problems caused by:

Incorrect injector selection or application.
Improper installation.
Incorrect electrical wiring or incompatible injector drivers.
Improper ECU configuration.
Incorrect injector characterization or calibration data.
Incorrect injector dead-time, latency, or offset settings.
Incorrect fuel-pressure compensation.
Improper fuel-system configuration.
Incorrect tuning procedures.

Important: A vehicle's failure to operate correctly with a particular injector does not, by itself, establish that the injector is defective.

Fuel injectors with different flow rates, electrical characteristics, or operating requirements may require substantial ECU calibration adjustments.

Professional installation and tuning by qualified personnel are strongly recommended.

3. Warranty Claim Procedure

Customers experiencing a suspected injector defect must contact ECR Performance before returning any products.

Please provide:

Full name and contact telephone number.
Original order number or proof of purchase.
Product description and part number, if available.
Detailed explanation of the reported issue.
Vehicle, engine, and ECU information, when relevant.
Fuel type and operating fuel pressure.
Any available diagnostic or testing information.

ECR Performance may request additional information to assist with evaluating the reported issue.

Return Authorization

Customers must obtain return instructions before shipping products for warranty evaluation.

Unauthorized returns may experience processing delays.

Unless otherwise instructed, fuel injectors purchased as a matched set should be returned together to permit proper inspection and comparative testing.

Shipping Requirements

Customers are responsible for properly packaging returned products.
All shipments must be prepaid and adequately insured.
Customers must provide tracking information once the package has shipped.
ECR Performance is not responsible for shipments lost or damaged in transit before receipt.
Customers are responsible for inbound shipping costs, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Return shipping charges will be handled according to the applicable warranty obligations and law.

Inspection and Testing

Upon receipt, ECR Performance will inspect and test the returned injectors.

Estimated evaluation time: 3–6 business days after receipt.

Additional time may be required for complex diagnostics, specialized testing, or unavailable replacement components.

Inspection may include electrical resistance, activation, leakage, flow, and visual testing, as appropriate. Findings will be evaluated against the product specifications and available evidence.

Following evaluation, ECR Performance will communicate the findings and warranty determination to the customer.

If the reported issue is not covered, the customer will be notified of the findings and any available non-warranty service options.

4. Returns vs. Warranty Claims

Returns and warranty claims are separate processes.

Standard Returns

Standard returns are governed by ECR Performance's separately published Return Policy, including any applicable return windows, product-condition requirements, and exclusions.

A request for a refund due to incorrect selection, application incompatibility, a change of mind, or another non-defect-related reason is not automatically a warranty claim.

Warranty Claims

A warranty claim concerns a suspected defect covered by the applicable limited warranty.

Expiration of the standard return period does not automatically eliminate valid warranty rights.

Products outside the standard return window may still qualify for warranty service if the applicable warranty period remains active and the reported failure is covered.

Important: Warranty coverage does not automatically entitle the customer to their preferred remedy. An eligible warranty claim will be resolved according to the remedies provided in this policy and applicable law.

5. Electrical Parts, Electrical Connectors, and Custom Parts

Limited Warranty Exclusion

Except where a separate written product warranty is expressly provided, the following product categories are sold without an additional voluntary ECR Performance written warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Electrical Components

Including but not limited to:

Sensors
Relays
Fuses
Electrical cables
Wiring harnesses
Electrical pigtails
Relay modules
Electrical connectors
Related electrical accessories

Custom and Specialty Components

Including but not limited to:

Custom-fabricated components
Modified components manufactured to customer specifications
Special-order parts
Application-specific custom assemblies

Miscellaneous Components

Including but not limited to:

Hoses
Fittings
Brackets
Mounting hardware
Other miscellaneous accessories

This exclusion does not override the specific written fuel injector warranty described in Sections 1–3.

Product Testing

Where applicable, electrical products are inspected or tested upon arrival at our facility and before shipment.

Testing is intended to verify product condition and functionality at the time of inspection. It does not guarantee compatibility with every application or protection against damage resulting from improper installation or operation.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

Verifying product compatibility before purchase.
Confirming appropriate voltage, current, wiring, and operating requirements.
Inspecting products promptly upon receipt.
Following manufacturer and ECR Performance installation instructions.
Ensuring products are installed and operated within their specified limits.

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Custom Orders

Custom-manufactured or specially modified products may be subject to separate written terms established before purchase.

Any applicable cancellation, return, deposit, or modification restrictions must be disclosed as part of the transaction.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ECR Performance LLC shall not be responsible for incidental, indirect, special, or consequential losses arising from product failure, improper installation, incorrect application, or misuse.

Such losses may include:

Vehicle downtime.
Lost racing or competition opportunities.
Lost profits or business interruption.
Towing expenses.
Diagnostic labor.
Installation or removal labor.
Tuning expenses.
Damage to other vehicle components resulting from improper use or installation.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for certain defective-product injuries or remedies required by applicable law.

Some states do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; accordingly, some provisions may not apply to a particular purchase.

7. Professional Installation and Technical Compatibility

ECR Performance strongly recommends professional installation and tuning of performance automotive components.

High-performance fuel injectors, sensors, and electrical products may require specialized knowledge, equipment, and calibration procedures.

Customers and installers are responsible for verifying compatibility with the intended application and following the relevant installation and operating requirements.

Technical assistance, product recommendations, or general installation guidance do not constitute a guarantee of vehicle performance or compatibility beyond any express product representations made by ECR Performance.

8. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights

This policy provides specific warranty rights. Customers may also have additional rights under federal or state law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to eliminate, restrict, or disclaim rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Where a written warranty is provided for a consumer product, applicable implied warranties remain in effect as required by law.

For product categories sold without an ECR Performance written warranty, any disclaimer of implied warranties applies only where legally permitted and when the required disclosures have been made.

9. Policy Updates and Modifications

ECR Performance LLC reserves the right to revise this warranty policy without prior notice, subject to applicable law.

Changes apply to future purchases and will not retroactively reduce warranty rights established at the time of purchase.

The applicable warranty terms are those in effect when the product was originally purchased, unless a subsequent revision provides additional benefits or applicable law requires otherwise.
