PURPOSE AND COVERAGE TERM
For this product, made available by OCTTANE LTDA., a guarantee is offered against manufacturing defects or quality of equipment components, under normal conditions of use and maintenance, all in accordance with the product manual, for a period of 5 (five) years for Engine Control Unit and 1 (one) year for the interface screen, counting from the date of acquisition (purchase), identified on the sales invoice to the final consumer of the product.
The same 5-year guarantee is offered to wideband meter conditioners, excluding equipment that is not manufactured by Octtane, such as lambda probes.
RESPONSIBILITY
This product must be installed by a qualified professional, strictly following the recommendations described in the Manual, in order to avoid any and all damage to the vehicle's engine. OCTTANE LTDA. is not responsible for any damage and/or expenses resulting from unsuccessful installations, and the purchaser is responsible for installing the product in properly qualified workshops. OCTTANE LTDA. is not responsible for damages caused by loss of password or other security method for accessing the product, as well as the viewing or copying of maps by unauthorized persons. It is also not responsible for any loss of data resulting from the repair, and it is the customer's duty to make a backup copy. If the password is lost or forgotten, the product must be sent to the manufacturer attached to the invoice, at which time all maps will be deleted.
CONDUCTS THAT EXCLUDE THE WARRANTY
This warranty does not cover: (1) Products whose seals are broken; (2) Defects or damages resulting from irregular use of the product by the purchaser, such as scratches, cracks, broken screen, spillage of food or liquids of any nature on the product and others; (3) Defects or damages arising from testing, installation, alteration, modification of any kind to the products, as well as repairs carried out other than by OCTTANE LTDA.; (4) Defects and damages arising from the use of non-compatible and non-original artifacts with Octtane products; (5) Defects and damages caused by natural agents (floods, salt spray and others), excessive exposure to heat, steam or humidity, as well as defects arising from traffic accidents; (6) Parts that naturally wear out with regular use.
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
For models with a TFT screen, the color screen may malfunction if the ignition system has problems, such as: coils with broken insulation, defective spark plug wires or spark plugs that are not resistive. Still in this context, the screen may flash and then display an alert. These episodes are not included in the warranty, since, if the ignition system is repaired, the screen will function correctly. All 12V power supply for the equipment in question must have fuses as close to the battery as possible, and failure to comply with this recommendation could cause the vehicle to catch fire. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the use of the equipment on aircraft is prohibited, as it was not produced for this purpose.
