This KIT already comes with the sensor.
The K1 is an Octtane product that, using a type K thermocouple, makes it possible to read the temperature of the exhaust gases of a combustion engine with an accuracy of 0.25°C in a range of 0.00°C to 1023.75 °C.
The K4 is the same product, but it has four channels, making it possible to read four temperatures at the same time. Recommended for reading individual cylinder temperatures.
The Octtane K1 and K4 use an integrated circuit dedicated to this type of thermocouple and delivers the temperature in real time digitally with 12-bit resolution, in addition to allowing the detection of opening of the thermocouple sensor (fault diagnosis). Another important feature is that the K1 accurately measures the temperature rise, that is, the ambient temperature is discounted and the K1 accurately detects the difference at the end of the thermocouple.
The temperature is shown on a high-contrast OLED graphic display and allows CAN communication with Octtane's line of ECUs ( Engine Control Unit ) T2 and T3, in order to inform the control unit of the temperature of the exhaust gases and then take some corrective measures if necessary.
For high performance, through CAN Communication, it is possible to connect several K1 or K4 in order to inform the temperature of each cylinder individually, enabling engine operating diagnoses.
